My hometown team has changed a number of times, as I have had the rich experience of living in five different states. But for the last ten years I have made my home here in the East Valley and I love the Arizona lifestyle! I have raised my family here and have been impressed with the opportunities that have been available to my children. My kids have benefitted greatly from the choices in education as there are strong public boundary schools, focus schools, private schools, community colleges and more than several universities in our immediate area.
The East Valley boasts endless opportunities for extracurricular activities -- recreational and club sports, swim and dive teams, Scouts, opportunities in the arts and academic competitions, just to name a few. Best of all, is the outdoor lifestyle our sunny and dry climate provides. Golf, tennis, running, biking, horseback riding and outdoor dining are year round pursuits. Several great recreational lakes are nearby for boaters and if you want to climb a mountain or hike a trail, the options are endless. There's even daring four wheeling and mountain biking to pursue!
My family enjoys visiting the White Mountains (just a few hours away, yet a completely different climate), where we enjoy skiing in the winter and hospitable 70-degree temps in the summer. Back home in the East Valley, there’s a wide array of shops, restaurants, parks and amenities that we visit with ease, as our roads and freeways are rarely congested.
The East Valley is made up of terrific neighborhoods full of caring people. I have both benefitted from the community’s generosity, and have had wonderful opportunities to give back.
More than 1.3 million people call the East Valley home. If you live here, you know why; if you don’t, come find out!
